151Color is an integral part of your composition. An essential aspect of the way we perceive the world, it is everywhere yet remains essentially indefinable. How do you explain a color, other than by reference to or comparison with another? You can experience it, and imagine it, even dream it, but to someone who has never seen it, it is unknowable. Color is uniquely visual, and the essence of so much art. You can use it to stir feelings, to conjure space, to beautify and unite your work. Even removing it has equally strong significance.
