Selecting the right racking system is essential to a solar project that minimizes impacts to the underlying building. This choice often focuses on the weight of the system as much as the particular manufacturer’s design. In the end, the choice often comes down to whether the array is physically anchored to the roof or if it is held onto the roof with ballast.
