Tendering procedures The invitation of tenders is a most important activity and one in which the landscape architect has a responsibility to act fairly to landscape contractors in accordance with certain accepted codes and conventions. Those for the building industry are set out in the NJCC Code of Procedure for Single-stage Selective Tendering (Appendix G), and most, if not all, the principles apply equally to the landscape industry.
