ABSTRACT

A light fl urry of tiny, perfectly formed snowfl akes fl utter, tumble and drift downwards. Capturing the silver moonlight, they settle softly on the already snow-covered rooftops, street lamps and sidewalks. The clock tower is heard in the near distance tunefully announcing the passing time: one, two, three . . .

There’s a relaxed happiness in the air as couples, friends and families meander their way home with the night drawing in. A little girl gazes into the shop window. Snugly wrapped in her warm hat, scarf, gloves and winter coat, she smiles, mesmerized by the magical toy train display and the beautiful, tall, tinsel-laden tree with its sparkling red, green, yellow and blue fairy lights. As the little girl turns, real magic is in the air, for there before her is Santa Claus himself: his familiar red coat, white beard and happy smile show that all is as it should be. A friendly wink completes the enchantment.
