ABSTRACT

The great thing about decay photography is that almost any camera or camera system can produce good images. It’s more about the subject than the format, although different formats can have an effect on how your photographs turn out. You can use a vintage camera and film to capture an authentic retro scene, or shoot digitally and use Photoshop filters to add a similar vintage effect. There’s also the possibility of using software to add a hyper-realistic look, such as high dynamic range (HDR) photography. Really, the possibilities are almost limitless, which is one of the great aspects of this type of photography.
