ABSTRACT
As examined in Chapter 5, North Korea flagrantly tramples upon religious freedom. Its persistent persecution of religious activity presents an incongruity with its own constitutional language that protects religious freedom for the people. The table below shows how some forms of religious freedom have appeared in the North Korean Constitution since its first iteration in 1948, all of which the regime has effectively ignored.
