ABSTRACT

Threaded Text Frames All InDesign text resides in a text frame. If a primary text frame doesn’t already exist on your document, you can create a new text frame in several ways. You can draw a text frame with the Type tool, you can place text from an external document, or you can convert an existing shape to a text frame by clicking it with the Type tool. Isolated text frames have their place, but there will no doubt be times when you want your content to flow across multiple text frames as well as multiple pages. This is easily done by threading text frames together to create what is known in InDesign as a story.
