ABSTRACT
Working with Footnotes Similar to hyperlinks and cross - references, footnotes consist of two linked parts: the footnote reference number in the body of the document, and the footnote text that appears at the bottom of the page. When you export to EPUB, these two parts become live links, enabling your reader to jump back and forth between them. Not all the formatting you apply to footnotes translates to EPUB but you'll learn more about that in the EPUB chapter starting on page 309.
