ABSTRACT

Mark Zuckerberg is well known for his role in launching social networking site Facebook. As captured in the 2010 movie The Social Network, Zuckerberg’s early efforts consisted of programming parts of the code that enabled the site to become popular among college-student users. Less appreciated, perhaps, is the story of Zuckerberg’s self-transformation as his company, through aggressive growth, survived competition from rival Myspace and sought outside investors to expand Facebook further.
