ABSTRACT

In the preceding chapters I argued that microphysicalism is not a tenable position. But physicalism is not necessarily microphysicalism. In this final chapter I will deal with the question how our findings affect other forms of physicalism, in particular identity-physicalism. Furthermore, I will advocate pragmatic pluralism as an alternative to microphysicalism.
