ABSTRACT

In the next three chapters I will examine to what extent the theses of micro-determination, micro-government and micro-causation are supported by the success of micro-explanation. These discussions will be based on our analysis of micro-explanation of laws that pertain to compound systems in terms of laws that pertain to their parts. As I argued before, microexplanation (3) is the only plausible candidate for the job of providing evidence for microphysicalism.
