ABSTRACT
This chapter may seem a stark contrast to the earlier discussion of phenomenology, experiential learning and humanistic education, all of which have a great deal to do with increasing the choices available to the individual. However, notions of conditioning give an indication of the extent to which our choices are limited. It is difficult to explore your choices until you have developed some awareness of what you are already doing.
