ABSTRACT

Dr W (pathologist): Personally I dread it when a clinician dumps a manuscript on my desk for my comments. I know it’s going to be badly written.

Dr B (biomedical science) ; The clinicians are not scientists. They are practitioners. They feel threatened by a mind set that is geared towards research. There are virtually no people in the clinics with advanced degrees. Such purely applied people can only write reviews. They lack the sort of curiosity needed for research.
