ABSTRACT
The spatial stories we have told are largely stories of containment. In this final chapter we briefly recapitulate these containment stories and reflect on why we believe it is important to tell them. In the telling, we have ourselves crossed many boundaries-such as those cocooning different literatures, theoretical traditions, and methodologies-and in the third part of the chapter we sketch out how stories of containment have within them the seeds of possibilities for crossing boundaries.
