ABSTRACT
By the end of the Second World War, and most certainly by the end of the 1940s, the ‘command economy’, based on the ‘Soviet model’ (see Kaple, 1994) had been implanted in a wide range of countries, with a combined population of over one billion people around that time, in the name of Karl Marx.
