ABSTRACT

The religions that we have considered are based on scriptures and traditions which assume the existence of God. Indeed, some go as far as to say that only a fool would deny His existence! However, scepticism, which characterizes our age, demands evidence. We will try and supply some in this chapter by describing the kind of God religions believe in, commenting on some of the traditional arguments put forward for His existence, and discussing revelation. We will ask in conclusion if the existence of evil is the strongest argument against the case for God.
