ABSTRACT
Space, the shaping of space and the objects located in this space co-determine identity at local, regional, national and even European level. The authors of the ESDP have been toying with a type of ‘cultural’ response to the great European project: the economic and monetary integration which should produce a ‘level playing field’, a space within which the conditions for the economic operation of economic subjects are no longer very different.
