ABSTRACT
In studying constitutional change in the United Kingdom, we can in many cases only understand the present against the background of the past. The constitutional Monarchy under which we now live was delineated in its essentials by the Glorious Revolution of 1688-89 and still functions today under the influence of the Parliamentary statutes and political conventions which were established at that time and during the years immediately thereafter.
