ABSTRACT

Elemental Feminist Philosophy (1984), Webster’s First New Intergalactic Wickedary of the English Language (1987), which she co-wrote with Jane Caputi, and Outercourse: The Be-dazzling Voyage (1993). Subsequently she published Quintessence… Realizing the Archaic Future. A Radical Elementa (1998). Daly’s work has become less central to lesbian feminist concerns during the 1990s as moves towards the postmodern, queer, and critiques of the notion of gender-specific languages have become more prominent. However, her jubilant embrace of a women-centred universe, exuberantly divergent use of language, and trenchant critique of the role of women within institutionalized religion have made her one of the key lesbian theoreticians and writers of the late twentieth century.
