ABSTRACT
Contemporary British writer and journalist who grew up in a Scottish mining village and read English at Oxford before taking up a career as a journalist. In this capacity she has worked for papers such as the South Devon Times, the Sunday Independent (Exeter), the Scottish Daily Record, and the People in Manchester, outside which she now resides.
