ABSTRACT
HTML support for frames was introduced several years ago, and for a while there was a fashion for including them on Web pages; almost every page that you visited was a frames-based site. Thankfully however, that fashion does seem to have passed now, and they are not nearly as common as they were. In my opinion, there are very few occasions when frames are appropriate for a site; they can prove to be a useful navigation aid, but other than that I’m doubtful about their use, though I accept that I’m probably slightly biased about this!
