ABSTRACT
In this section a step-by-step approach to thesaurus construction (subsequent to checking that a thesaurus is required—see B1) is given with illustrations from a hypothetical thesaurus. The section considers only the intellectual aspects of thesaurus construction. Automatic thesaurus construction is considered in F4.
