ABSTRACT

The Province of Central Java (Jawa Tengah) has the island’s central row of mountains stretching from east to west, with some being active volcanoes, making the soil fertile. The province is bounded to the north by the Java Sea, while in the east is the Province of East Java (Jawa Timur) and in the west, West Java (Jawa Barat). In the south, the province surrounds the territory of the Special District of Yogyakarta, which also lies on the Indian Ocean.
