ABSTRACT
We end this section by introducing tally charts. When data collection is done manually, tallies are made of each observation. A tally is a stroke, and, for the ease of counting, they are grouped in fives. Tally marks are recorded under general headings of a tally chart: see Table 1.1 for an example.
