ABSTRACT
Financial packages are available in many forms ranging from the mainframe systems used by companies to process their financial data to ‘simple’ spreadsheets which can be used to create applications for the information unit alone. Available packages range from fully integrated enterprise management systems, such as SAP™, via full accounting systems to simple bookkeeping systems. Packages can cost anything from a few tens to many tens of thousands of pounds, depending on their complexity, number of users and target audience. Packages are available to handle any, or all, of the functions listed below.
