ABSTRACT
The second EC transition programme aims at facilitating the transition of young people from school life to the adult and working world. It is clearly an important and ambitious goal, the realisation of which does not belong exclusively to the education system of a specific country but to the whole of society, in particular to the economic sector. Within the framework of this vast objective each country has selected a particular field of intervention for its chosen projects as well as a particular group of people as the target group.
