ABSTRACT
We have seen that observational learning and reinforcement are important in learning aggressive or helping behaviour. What then, is the role of the media in this process; in particular what is the role of television? Television has been chosen as the main focus of attention for two reasons:
1 Television opens children’s minds to vast worlds of experience that would otherwise be unavailable. Its potential for enhancing knowledge and experience is endless.
