ABSTRACT
The majority of franchises are normally part-franchises, with only year 1 or years 1 and 2 of an undergraduate programme being approved for delivery at a PO. This raises the important issue of managing the transition for students from the franchise provision to the host provision. Although this is one of the most important elements of successful franchise management, the Code does not devote a great deal of attention to it.
