ABSTRACT

Just as no school is perfect, every school has something to celebrate. In some cases, finding cause for celebration may be difficult but if one looks hard enough one will find it. Then it is important to make sure that everyone in the organization knows about it. There is sometimes confusion about the difference between selling and marketing. This chapter will deal with marketing the school, in the sense that there is a product to sell (education), and that the school must ensure that potential buyers (pupils and their parents) are aware of what exactly the school can offer. Selling in this context is part of marketing but is not by any means the only part.
