ABSTRACT

This chapter adds nothing new to the book in terms of content. It is primarily designed as a means of making the book easier to use. The material contained in the book is complex and is not always what one would want to wade through in practical situations when developing modules or when working in staff development situations. Chapter 10 compiles the important points about module development, levels and level descriptors, learning outcomes and assessment criteria and their relationships to assessment processes. As this material is referenced back into the main text of the book, it can also act as a more detailed index. Sometimes the sequence of information in this chapter differs slightly from that in the main body of the book.
