The Boeotia field survey project

An archaeological field survey of this large province of central Greece began in 1979, conducted mainly by members of the Universities of Bradford and Cambridge (and latterly the University of Durham). The part of this survey which is discussed here, bordering the ancient city of Thespiae, was surveyed in the mid-1980s (Bintliff, 1997; Bintliff and Snodgrass, 1985).
