ABSTRACT
The Korean War (June 1950-July 1953), the first major hostilities near Japan after the end of World War II, posed a major challenge to the Japanese peace movement. But rather than organize a protest against the war from a pacifist viewpoint, Japanese workers mostly had their hands full coping with the domestic, political and economic fallout.
