ABSTRACT
In Mexico City the local population suffers from extreme air pollution. A large part of the bottom of the Aral Sea in central Asia stands clear of water and fishermen are no longer able to do their work. In Malaysia the indigenous population struggles for the conservation of its habitat in the tropical rainforest. In the Netherlands people near Schiphol airport suffer from the noise of aeroplanes which disturbs their night's rest.
