TO D AT E, THE VARIOUS ATTEMPTS to discover the corporate-level equivalent ofthe Holy Grail – in other words, to “reveal the corporation” – have largely floundered. This failure is, we believe, in part attributable to a failure by scholars and practitioners to comprehend the multidisciplinary and multifaceted characteristics of the domain.
