ABSTRACT

We asked three local teachers to write stories about their experiences of using 'Jack and the Beanstalk' (Chapter 4) with their classes. Paula is a second-year English specialist BAQTS student who taught 'Jack and the Beanstalk' as her very first drama lesson. Roz is a freelance dancer studying on an Applied Arts MA course. She had never used teacher in role before, ''but it's quite fun, isn't it!? Perry has been using some drama in his teaching over the past ten years. Reading their stories may help you to conceptualise how the teaching materials are transported from page to practice. The children's names have been changed.
