ABSTRACT

Ella, or Cinderella as her two nasty sisters call her, is a rather sad and weak girl. The children meet her, and are able to give her advice about dealing with and standing up to her bullying sisters. When an invitation arrives inviting all the girls to the Prince's birthday party at the palace, her two sisters tell Ella that she can't go as there is too much work to do at home. Ella does go to the party but in this version of the story it is not because of a fairy godmother. Ella's friends help to give her confidence and show her useful strategies for increasing her self-esteem. She manages to persuade her sisters to allow her to go to the party where she decides whether or not to marry the Prince.
