ABSTRACT
This chapter compares four dimensions of industrial organisation and considers them in terms of competitive incentives and pressures. We regard industrial organisation as a part of the corporate environment and assume from recent economic experience that Japanese industrial organisation seems to have been more conducive to successful competition than that of Britain.
