ABSTRACT

In this chapter I address two questions: How might one suicide? and Is suicide OK?

HOW MIGHT ONE SUICIDE?

Although I will be examining some of the ways in which one might kill oneself, it is not my intention to offer guidance to those who wish to achieve their deaths. Such advice is available elsewhere and it is no part of my project to compete with suicide experts in offering advice to would-be suicidal self killers. What I want to do is to make some general observations about the different varieties of act that can be used by suicides in attempting to arrange their deaths.
