ABSTRACT
Any new subject needs to employ a range of strategies if it is to become embedded in the curriculum. Some people need to be convinced that it is worthwhile and others need reassurance that it is possible. If Citizenship is to develop the status that it deserves, co-ordinators need to avail themselves of all necessary methods to overcome people’s doubts and help them to understand how the subject can enhance school life.
