ABSTRACT
This chapter has made use of the case example of William to outline the planning and recording involved in step-by-step approaches to learning difficulties. It has also demonstrated what we mean by the expression interactive assessment and teaching where initial assessments lead to plans which are adjusted in the light of the child’s response to the teaching.
