ABSTRACT

I now want to give the preceding introduction to the historical rationality of human institutions-which I think must be opposed to contemporary post-rationalist and minoritarian doctrines-a positive reformulation in Marxist humanism. This exercise benefits from the critique of alienation in both socialist and capitalist societies since Marxism has itself practised scientism and a crude Prometheanism. My reformulation of Marxist humanism gives emphasis to its civility over its industrialism.
