ABSTRACT
Current developments in telecommunications have important implications for the physical form of contemporary cities. In this chapter we examine the linkages between the economic, social and environmental issues reviewed in previous chapters and the changing physical form of the city. We show how telecommunications underpin urban restructuring processes that have profound implications for the form and structure of contemporary cities.
