ABSTRACT
An attempt has been made above to demonstrate that the cause of agriculture in southern Scandinavia should possibly be sought in the demographic situation. An attempt will now be made to determine whether this basic viewpoint can also be maintained in relation to further agricultural development in Danish prehistory. It may be asked whether this hypothesis can explain the expansion stages indicated, for example, by pollen analysis.
