ABSTRACT
The Yom Kippur War (also called the October War or the Ramadan War) broke out in October 1973 and was the fourth war in the Arab-Israeli conflict. The reasons for the war were the continued Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights and the Sinai Desert, and the stalemate in international mediation efforts.
