ABSTRACT
During April and May 1956, as part of the celebrations of the centenary of Freud’s birth, members of the British Psychoanalytical Society gave six public lectures in London on ‘Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Thought’. I was invited to give the one on ‘Psychoanalysis and Child Care’. The lectures were published two years later.
