Effects on Behaviour of Disruption of an Affectional Bond *

For a number of years the Eugenics Society organized symposia dealing with the interaction of genetic and environmental factors in human development. The fourth symposium, held in London during the autumn of 1967, was concerned with ‘Genetic and Environmental Influences on Behaviour’. The paper that follows was a contribution to the symposium, which was published the following year.
