ABSTRACT
Mizener (b. 1907), professor of English at Cornell since 1951, is best known for his biographies of Dos Passos's contemporaries, F.Scott Fitzgerald and Ford Maddox Ford. This review claims that Chosen Country might be Dos Passos's best novel because there is more feeling and pathos for the characters.
