ABSTRACT
It may further be asked: 'Are ceremonial and ritual dances art? What about folk dances, American square dancing, ballroom and tap dancing? Is popular art a branch of art in general, or not art at all?' Or it might be said: 'Suppose someone creates a dance but never shows it to anyone - is that art?' Perhaps even more interesting, philosophically speaking, is an undiscovered dance or music score. In other words, for something to count as art must it be publicly accessible or can art be private?
