ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 was taken up with the evidence bearing directly upon the effects of donor conditionality. In this chapter we take a different approach, with a more detailed look at the adjustment experiences of two important regions, examining the role which conditionality (principally of the IFIs) played in those experiences.
