ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to support your growing understanding of the factors that help to shape the complex relationship between your knowledge of art, craft and design and your developing skills as a teacher. A PGCE course provides a structure within which connections between personal knowledge of subject content and pedagogy can be explored in increasing depth and be strengthened and made explicit.
